A little about what I do.....
Hi my names is Audalina. I have been rescuing wild and exotic birds for over 8 years now. It is my passion in life and I hope to be able to help anyone who is needing help with any kind of bird, from exotic to babies or injured birds.
This is BURT, he is a Green Wing Macaw....hes 34 years old!!! He will be with us forever, he absolutely hates men, due to a horrible experience, Giving him seizures and nightmares, Calling them "poppa bad" and "poppa brat" calling himself " bad bird" which I correct with "good bird" everytime but he still says it. he was bonded with the lady that brought him to us, and when he got here, we hit it off and he has been my best friend since. he has been plucking for over 10 years so a lot of his follicles are damaged, he has gotten some new feathers. As long as he is happy and healthy he can be naked if he wants~I love him just the way he is!!
This is Scooter, He is a 12 year old Severe Mini macaw. He was adopted to an amazing family that took in him and his best friend Toby (pics below)
Toby was with us for months and was able to grow in many new feathers in the loving caring home we were able to provide him.
This is Baby, she is a peach faced love bird that must of been a pet that got out. she is so sweet!! a woman found her in her back yard, and since a flock of wild lovebirds live in the neighbors tree she tried to let it fly away back to its flock. she tried multiple times to reunite them, but silly baby (or "Squaky" as the son of the woman called her) just wouldnt go with the others she even let herself back in the cage!! so we went and picked her up and brought her home, she is in perfect health and loves all the company she has at Byrums Bird Rescue :)
This beauty is named Princess, she is a 13 year old Eclectus. she has been with us 4 years, she wasn't allowed out of her cage for quite sometime before she came to us, they were scared of her bite. She only had feathers on her head when we picked her up, she is well on her way to being fully feathered. she is healthy and so very happy, she loves to cuddle up and wants me to love on her all the time. shes sweet (to me)
Amelia, a blue and gold macaw a 20 year old who spent half her life called Emilio being called a boy! and even after she laid them eggs, they still called him a boy. Her owner for all her life passed away, after that she was cared for by the wife and daughter of her owner but it wasn't the same! She started plucking and it continued and got worse in the next months. they decided it was best to have us take care of her. It was a wonderful thing for her....what matters is she is happy!

This is Taco, a 37 year old Double Yellow Headed Amazon, shes the oldest one in the house! (Human or Bird!!) She has a cool story, her parents were taken by poachers in the amazon, a vet somehow got the egg the poachers left, brought it to America hatched, fed and then was adopted.Her owner was 70 years old when I was asked to take her, she had her and loved her all her life! It was a hard decision for her to give her bird to someone, especially not knowing the person. her daughter talks to us for her but she is so happy in her decision. We keep in touch with photos and updates. Taco seems to really be happy and love me, I sure love her!!Davey is one of the sweetest cockatiels I have ever met! he LOVES to kiss you and whistle to you. he also absolutely LOVES to take a shower with us!! he has his own shower perch. The previous owners just didn't have time for him any more, they called him Daisy, when my Grandpa heard it was a boy named Daisy, he insisted we change it to Davey, and he has been that ever since!! Our older daughter Haileigh has claimed Davey even though he wont leave mom!!

I love my Birds!! Monkey Scooter and Woo Woo!! our birds get to be out of there cages, on tree stands or "human stands"lol
This is my special Boy Darwin. Hes 4 years old and I have raised him from a couple weeks old, Hes a Goffin Cockatoo the smallest of all the Cockatoos. He loves to dance and swing around. He is my special baby
